Zombie Mod For TDM

I wondered how long this would take to hit BF3

Since the dawn of FPS time ... well, since at least CS:S ... the Zombie Infection Mode has existed. Starts with one randomly selected player as zombie on one team (RU) and everyone else on the other team as humans (US). Zombies use knife and defib only. When a zombie kills a human, the human becomes a zombie (moved to the other team). Zombies win by killing all humans. Humans win by surviving -- in this case, by getting a certain number of kills.

How does a lone zombie stand a chance? Zombies have, and I quote one of the testers, "a sh*tload of health". Actually, bullet damage is reduced. Zombies are hard to kill! Bullet damage is adaptive, so the more zombies there are, the higher the damage. When down to a lone human with 11 zombies chasing him, every bullet will count! Note that zombies usually win (5 out of 6 rounds in testing), so being randomly selected to be the lone zombie is not as big a disadvantage as it may seem.

These five limits implement a Zombie Infection Mode for BF3 Team Deathmatch. The mode is initialized with a chat command and then runs automatically from that point on until turned off.

Note: Due to a limitation in the way BF3 moves players to teams, only half of the maximum number of players set by vars.maxPlayers are allowed to join the server while in Zombie Infection Mode. For example, for a 24 player TDM server, only 12 players may join. This is because all of the players end up on one team or the other and BF3 only allows 1/2 of the total number of players to be moved to a team. Admins are an exception to this rule to allow some in-game baby-sitting, but the mode will glitch if more than 1/2 of max players play.

Commands

!zombie start

Start the Zombie Infection mode. If the mode is already started, an error message is sent to chat. There is no need to type this command for each round, the mode will continue until disabled. See '!zombie stop' below.

After enabling the mode, someone has to spawn to initialize the countdown. If necessary, suicide and respawn to accomplish this after using '!zombie start'.

!zombie stop

Disables the Zombie Infection mode and reverts to TDM.
